Cosmetic Dentistry:

A BEAUTIFUL SMILE IS PRICELESS

There is nothing more disarming in this world than to look somebody straight in the eye, and simply smile!

Your smile is unique. It tells the world about you, it fosters communication and goodwill and it can indicate vitality, happiness and general well-being. Throughout history, the absence or presence of a smile has been of great significance with a beautiful, bright smile denoting confidence, success and friendship.

Improve your personal and professional relationships and make a positive, powerful and memorable statement to those you meet with a spontaneous smile of self-confidence.

Beautiful natural smiles have several things in common:

Porcelain Veneers
Porcelain veneers are ideal for creating beautiful smiles in cases of oddly shaped or spaced, small or uneven teeth. With this procedure you will be involved directly in the design process of reshaping, widening and brightening your smile, thus ensuring total satisfaction. Your dentist can create the blueprint for your new smile by temporarily placing protective skins of resin to demonstrate the amazing results possible with veneers. Thin skins of porcelain are then securely fixed to the teeth enabling you to resume normal social and eating activities immediately. After treatment, you will feel very excited about your new smile!

Porcelain Crowns
For many years, traditional Crowns have been used to strengthen teeth that are heavily filled, weakened or darkened due to root canal therapy. Thanks to new technology, Porcelain Crowns now look better than your own teeth; predominantly because the distinctive dark metal line (or "Blue Halo") of old style crowns has been eliminated. Porcelain Crowns are now metal-free and so natural looking that they are often mistaken for real teeth. Ask us how this exciting technology can help perfect your new beautiful smile!

Porcelain Inlays
Extensively filled molar teeth can now be rebuilt with modern porcelain techniques to restore them to their pre-filled appearance. Teeth that are heavily filled with large silver fillings are at risk of fracturing but, utilising highly-glazed, colour-matched porcelain, molars can be rebuilt to regain ideal, long term strength. Smiles can even be widened utilising this new technology and, after treatment, patients always laugh and smile with renewed confidence.

Bridges
Bridges are a long-term solution for replacing missing or badly broken teeth. When a permanent tooth is lost, neighbouring teeth are affected because chewing forces are altered and the remaining teeth begin to shift. This results in neighbouring tooth loss and gum disease. A bridge spans a space where one or more teeth have been lost. Teeth on either end of the span are crowned and a false tooth/teeth are then bonded to the crowns to fill the space. Our goal is to help preserve your smile for a lifetime with this natural alternative to a denture.

Implants
With an impressively high success rate and a lifetime of more than 20 years, dental implants are the permanent alternative to bridges. Dental implants are surgically placed into the jawbone to anchor permanent replacement teeth in the same way that your tooth's root supports your natural teeth. They can support teeth for an entirely toothless jaw, provide stability and retention for a complete denture, be used as an anchor to support a fixed bridge or simply be used to replace a missing tooth. Dental implants provide an opportunity to regain that comfort and feeling of security that our natural teeth provide.

Gum Lifts
There are now answers for those of us who are embarrassed to smile; afraid of showing small teeth or too much gum. Gums can be raised by a simple procedure known as a gum lift. This procedure removes excess gum and seals the tissue as it goes; meaning that no stitches are required. It's a painless process that usually takes place in the dentists chair and the results are dramatic; showing more teeth provides for a fuller, more instant smile. Used in conjunction with Porcelain Veneers, this combination is an ideal way to correct oddly shaped, small or crooked teeth. Colour matching
the veneers to your adjacent teeth, prior to the final procedure, ensures a perfect smile of which you will always be proud.

Invisalign (almost invisible braces)
An invisible way to straighten teeth using a series of custom made, nearly undetectable aligners. You then wear each set of aligners for about two weeks, moving your teeth gradually - week by week, millimeter by millimeter until you achieve the intended result: straighter teeth.
